I remember when this song first dropped, it freaked my bean. Yours Truly whipped up this live recording and I'm back to having yet another one man pants off dance off in my bedroom. Here's a little secret, you ready? Ya sure? OK, here goes, I hear that one of This Moving Pictures favorite San Diego bands, Roxy Jones, will be playing the Atari lounge at the Casbah for these guys and the amazing sounds of the English dickhead band, Yuck, on the 29th of July. Keep your eyes peeled for tickets to go on sale cause if that shit doesn't sell out I've lost all faith in San Diego's taste in music. Enjoy!

Last night I was flipping through some TOTEM emails and stumbled upon a leak to the Allah Las album. Let's just say it's been one beachy blast in my bedroom for the last 13 hours. I've been doing Steve Martins "king tut" dance like it's going out of style, side note; there's no way on god's green earth that the "king tut" dance would ever go out of style. Put your sunnies on, grab a hot babe and blast this little tune shore side and I'm pretty sure you'll be having a better day than most everyone else.

I got this gem sent to my inbox a few days back from my buddies Black Carl, and it's been on heavy rotation ever since. There's something intriguing about the guitar and vocal tracks and the way that they harmoniously weave in and out of each other, both raspy and clean to form a state of authority. This jam will be on Black Carl's up and coming 7", which you can bet your sweet titties I will have in my possession as soon as it's released. Memory Tapes "Yes I know" (Video) ABSOLUTELY MUST WATCH!!!!!!

When I was a little boy I always had a strong fear that my veins would surface through the top of my skin and leave my body, I also used to worry about my bones growing too fast and through my skin. There is something about the inner-workings of the body that has always creep-ed me out. Having a wildly vivid imagination comes with a heavy price; unrealistic, surreal and very paralyzing fears that sprout from the tiniest most mundane of daily tasks. This video is layered with impossible truths and has conjured up some of those buried skeletons that I had laid to rest in my teens. Also as an adult I constantly battle with the fear of socially and quit literally, disappearing, which would explain why I am without a doubt the loudest drunk in the bar after one apple-tini. This video for so many reasons will definitely be making it on my year end top ten list for it's content, and visual freedom. Hat's off to Eric Epstein for directing this visual marvel.

Lia Ices "Ice Wine"

I'm pretty sure I just found my new obsession, Lia Ices is like the hottest babe on a keyboard since Sean Marshal from Cat Power. No joke though, this video makes me feel like a 13 year old girl biting at the bit through every page of a teen-bop magazine. There is something pretty epic and all encompassing that comes along with her vocals as they are weaved into the instrumentation to form this quilt of sound that is very new. Needless to say I'm a huge fan, and home-girl's givin out boners like it's a going out of business sale at the wiener factory.

Tune Yards "you yes you" (Video)/ Soda Bar Show

Hey guys, the kids over at yours truly released this amazingly warm footage of tune yards giving me yet another reason to believe that they should be on a year long tour with the Dirty Projectors and David Byrne from the Talking heads.
