OK so this last week has been pretty dope for Atlas Sound/Deerhunter fans..... Bradford Cox has released three volumes of his bedroom recorded mix-tapes, For Free!!! It's kinda ridiculous. That brings us to a grand total of 41 songs..... That's a 41 song bombshell that this kid just dropped on the world. I mean seriously if you got all that music stored up inside, you gotta get it out somehow.Thanks for the jams string-bean.

It's really hard to describe and recreate the effects of certain drugs..... I think this new video for the song Hawaii does a pretty good job. There's always that all encompassing love that happens in the middle of the whole thing where you just feel like everything is connected to you and it usually ends with that enlightened state of euphoria where words do little to describe any feeling or realization that you might have just had (which I think is captured in the last few frames on the last girls face)..... Anywho I love this song and this band and this video is pretty rad too.

Holy shit, tomorrow night is gonna be outta control crazy badass as fuckin shit!!!! It's New Mexico's album release party at the Tin Can Alehouse. I'll be there going absolutely Ba-fucking-nanas. It's gonna be so rad; Mrs. Magician, one of my new favorite SD bands, is gonna be there too, killing it as usual. And Scruffles, Travis Trevisan from tape deck's new side project, will be there along with Grand Tarantula. Shit's gonna get so nutty. Arcade Fire (Dir. Spike Jonze)

Last night was the release of Spike Jonze video for the Arcade fire's jam, "The Suburbs". He paints a very beautiful picture filled with longing and love that can be found much easier being a teen under the shelter of the suburbs. He does a great job of tearing down the suburban world and bringing real life problems into the surroundings of this group of lovable kids. I can't stop watching this.

I've been crossing my fingers that the crew over at yours truly would do a live sesh with Warpaint. Guess what, it's finally happened. These girls have been flooring me for a little while now and I'm slowly becoming obsessed with the sound that they are becoming. I've been heartbroken since the 2007 break up of my favorite all girl band Electrelane and this has been a nice stitch towards the open wound, not to mention these girls are pretty easy on the eyes.

Full blown man sized baby dick

So a while back my good friend Tommy B and I decided to start a band called Full blown man sized baby dick. The deal is that we can only make songs on the spot, and usually only after a few drinks. They mostly consist of me playing guitar and Tommy rapping about two randomly picked subjects. In this particular jam session the subject matter is buttholes and Mexican baseball. And I should add that the back up vocals are by my good friend Ryan Hume. Please enjoy.
