TV Girl - "Baby you were there"

Oh man, this track has got me on a good one right now. My only qualm is that it's under 2 minutes long when it could easily be 20 minutes and I'd prolly still have it on repeat. Not to mention that this track got posted on Stereogum this morning which is great news for anyone half as obsessed as me, with the idea of San Diego getting the musical credit that it's been earning over the last couple years. Keep up the good work boys and if you read this just know that BRUIN wants nothing more than to play a show with you guys...... It's a shot in the dark but why the fuck not.

The Coathangers - "Getting mad and pumping iron"

First things first, dibs on the keyboard player... Anywho, last night this group of super-babes rocked the shit out of the soda bar. If you weren't there you definitely missed the fuck out. Their sound is caught somewhere between that of electrelane and a methadone clinic. Shit was dope. Have fun in LA girls, you can crash at my pad any time.

The Drums - "Money"

I've been worried about what The Drums were going to do after they made that song "Let's go surfing" cause let's face it when a band has a song like that on their first album it's pretty fucking hard to top that shit. Well I don't know if this song trumps it but holy fucking shit I kinda can't believe what I'm hearing. "I want to buy you something, but I don't have any money." is quite possibly the best chorus for a song that's come out this year. Not to mention that fucking guitar has got me doing the foot-scramble all over my bedroom. Thanks to my hommie ace for dropping the goods on me this morning

Clockart - "Greener" (Free Download)

So yesterday my buddy Peter dropped this business into my inbox. My first plan of action was to figure out where these babes are from. Huh, go figure, they're from San Diego and they just played their first show at the Tin Can Alehouse the other day. You better believe that BRUIN is gonna be all over these kids nuts to play a show together. Keep your ears peeled cause these kids are going places. Below is one of my two favorite jams "Greener" from their four song release which can be downloaded for free by clicking here. "Greener" is something between dream and reality. The lucid guitar strums that flow just behind the insanely sexy vocals forces the listener into a room with vaulted ceilings filled with silky pillows where the only beverages served are extra bubbly champagne and the floors are made of violet colored trampoline material. Put on your smoking jacket and press play, trust me on this one you're in for a good time.

Foster the people "pumped up kicks" (REMIX by DJ Kue)

So the original version of this track has been one of my favorite jams to come out over the last year and last night when I was working at Analog the DJ was spinning this dubbed out remix that was kind of blowing my mind. A lot of times my problem with remixes is that DJ's loose the essence of a perfectly good song by adding some bass and dropping the meat of the original track. Next thing you know any bitch drinking a vodka press and sporting an ed hardy drenched boyfriend looses their mind for no good fucking reason. This Remix keeps true to the original tracks time signature and somehow keeps all the lyrics in tact whilst still managing to get bassed the fuck out. As far as remixes go this one is pretty next level. Peep the goods below. Plus I included the original track in case you haven't heard it yet cause it's pretty dope.
