God damn-it, these kids are too good. Of course their gonna cover "girls like me" and of course it's gonna be even poppier than the original and of course I'm gonna be humming this shit for like the next two weeks. Seriously though I love this re-make, it's awesome! Cruise over to I.G.I.F.'s label Small Plates to pick up the 7", the first 150 get a gold vinyl! Long live San Diego music, another win for SD!

TV Girl - "Baby you were there"

Oh man, this track has got me on a good one right now. My only qualm is that it's under 2 minutes long when it could easily be 20 minutes and I'd prolly still have it on repeat. Not to mention that this track got posted on Stereogum this morning which is great news for anyone half as obsessed as me, with the idea of San Diego getting the musical credit that it's been earning over the last couple years. Keep up the good work boys and if you read this just know that BRUIN wants nothing more than to play a show with you guys...... It's a shot in the dark but why the fuck not.
